Heidi’s Village (Yamanashi Prefectural Flower Center)
The Yamanashi Prefectural Flower Center re-opened on April 1st 2006! It was re-born as Heidi’s Village. Of course beautiful flowers continue to bloom across the year. The mountains of the alps stretch out as far as you can see. Clear air, warm rays of the sun and abundant flowers - this is a place overflowing with tenderness and inspiration. Heidi’s Village stands in this tranquil place. Themed Facilities - Heidi themed hall and European Christmas. There is a display room showing the world of the TV animation Heidi, Girl of the Alps with a large 4 meter diorama, and a shop with the atmosphere of a European town at Christmas to represent the concept of 'Heidi's village'. - The workroom of Alm-Onji - The room of Heidi's grandfather, which appeared in the animation, has been re-created. There are also European and carpenter’s tools such as hooks and large saws on display. The location of this room is a secret. You have to search the whole of the park to try and find it. - Stardust Stage - The outdoor circular stage fits in well with the theme of a village of flowers and a starry sky. Events are held such as concerts in the milder seasons and dance competitions under the night sky in summer.
