Paul Rusch Fair, Hokuto City

Main content starts here.

Celebrate Paul Rusch, the "Father of American Football in Japan." Rusch was a Christian missionary from Kentucky, whose most notable contributions during his 25 years in Japan were, aside from introducing the Japanese to the joys of American football, founding KEEP (Kiyosato Educational Experiment Project) and introducing highland dairy farming techniques to the rolling green hills of Yatsugatake. Enjoy American football, cheerleading, bluegrass music, picnics, crafts, meat, ice cream and more at a festival in celebration of Rusch’s frontier spirit!
