Paul Rusch Festival ~Yatsugatake County Fair~

Celebrate Paul Rusch, "the Father of American Football in Japan." Rusch was a Christian missionary from Kentucky, whose most notable contributions during his 25 years in Japan were--aside from introducing the Japanese to the joys of American football--founding KEEP (Kiyosato Educational Experiment Project) and introducing highland dairy farming techniques to the rolling green hills of Yatsugatake. Enjoy American football, cheerleading, bluegrass music, picnics, crafts, a variety of meat, ice cream, and more at a festival in celebration of Rusch’s frontier spirit!
