Marufuji Winery

Main content starts here.

Rubaiyat Winery has been engaged in the wine-making business for four generations since Omura Jisaku founded it in Katsunuma in 1890.
The brand name Rubaiyat was coined by the poet Hinatsu Konosuke.
In 2001, a directly managed shop was opened in Kagurazaka, Tokyo.
Jisaku's first son ran the vineyard, his second son produced the wine, and his third son opened a wine restaurant.
The current owner, Omura Haruo, cultivates and produces dry wine traditional to the Koshu region in addition to typical Western varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay in an aim to make wine that Japan can boast about worldwide.
