Area:Fuji River Basin/The Southern Alps

The temple is known as the main temple of the Buddhist sect Nichiren, and bustles with many worshippers throughout the year.
There are also weeping cherry trees in the grounds which are stunning in full bloom.
It is said that those participating in Nichiren's Memorial Day services were given preferential treatment such as not having to pay tariffs.

Transportation details

By bus: Take a bus bound for Minobusan from Minobu Station, JR Minobu Line for about 15 minutes. Get off at the last stop.
By bus: From Shinjuku take the highway bus bound for Minobusan.

Visiting: Free. The Houmotsu-kan Museum has an admission fee. Adults: 300 yen, Children (College and high school students): 200 yen
Groups of 20 or more Adults: 200 yen, Elementary or junior high school students: 100 yen
