Manriki Park ‘Manyo-no-mori (Forest)’ is the city park of 14 hectares spreading along Fuefuki River flowing in the middle of Yamanashi prefecture, making best use of pine trees and miscellaneous trees. There are more than 110 varieties of plants which were written in “Mnayoshu” (the oldest existing anthology of poetry), show us the neat and clean appearance for each season. In the park, you can enjoy in many ways at several spaces such as ‘Haruno-michi’, ‘Natsuno-michi’, ‘Akino-mIchi, Animal touching space, Lawn area, BBQ area, and so on. A stone monument on which Manyo-ka (Japanese old poem) is carved, stands nearby, which invites you to the Manyo-world. The southern end of the park, there is a bronze statue of Kaichiro Nezu who profoundly contributed to the development and the culture of Yamanashi City, and it is overlooking his hometown. You can view Cherry blossoms, Hydrangea, Ashibi, Lotus, Pink, and so on in spring, summer and fall.
