Fuji Omuro Sengen Shrine Autumn Festival

• Date: September 9th, 2010
• Location: Fuji Omuro Sengen Shrine, Town of Fujikawaguchiko
• Access: Take the Fujikyu Line to Kawaguchiko Station , and from there take a retro bus for 15 minutes.

A festival that started as a celebration of the victory of the eventual founder of the Kai-Genji family, Minamoto Yoshimitsu, during the Gosannen War. Traditional activities such as the Uruyasu no Mai dance and a Omikoshi parade, take place as an offering to hasten the arrival of Autumn's beautiful colours.
