Points of Interest from the First Episode

Nakanoura-Touge Observatory

Just beside the toilet there is an information sign for the entrance to a climbing path to the Nakanoura Pass overlook.
It’s about 620 meters from the entrance and takes 20-30 minutes walking to arrive at the observatory, from which you can see the famous view of Mt. Fuji which is depicted on the thousand yen bill.
※The photographer Okada Koyo took the famous photo “Lakeside in Spring” which was adopted originally for the former five thousand yen bill, and is now depicted on the thousand yen bill.

Food from the first episode

Mt. Fuji Curry Noodles

When you go to the Kouan Campgrounds, you have to try curry noodles! They are sold at the reception for the campsite. Even if you can’t stay overnight, you can do a day camp visit and relax on the lakeside and see Mt. Fuji while eating curry noodles. Try eating it while sitting next to a fire you built from pinecones and firewood.
