Yamanashi Prefectural Museum is a museum where anyone, from children to adults, can enjoy learning. With the theme, "The People and Nature of Yamanashi," the various attractions and exhibits aim to explain the relationship between nature and Yamanashi's history and culture.

Approximately 10 minutes by bus from Isawaonsen Station, JR Chuo Line. (Yamanashi Kotsu bus bound for Kenritsu-hakubutsukan and Fujikyuko bus bound for Oshuku.) 30 minutes by bus from Kofu Station, JR Chuo Line (South Exit stop no. 7, Yamanashi Kotsu bus bound for Kenritsu-hakubutsukan / South Exit stop no. 7, Fujikyuko bus bound for Fujisan Station and Shimokurokoma. Get off at Kenritsu-hakubutsukan stop.) /8 minutes from Chuo Expressway、Ichinomiya-Misaka IC by car /10 minutes from JR Chuo Line Isawa-Onsen Station by bus

・Kaijiamu children's workshop (Second Saturday everu month) 10:30 to 15:00
*No reservation needed. Participation is free, but resources may cost money.
・Let's play! Let's learn! Terakoya Hiroba (Every Sunday: 11:00 to 11:30) *Evergreen attraction ticket required

Can be enjoyed in wet weather

Closing Days

Closed: Tuesdays (Open if a holiday and closed the next day), the day after a holiday (if a holiday falls on a Saturday, open on Sunday)


Standard: 510 yen (420 yen), College students: 210 yen (170 yen)
*Prices in parentheses are discount for groups of 20 or more people
*Special exhibits require separate viewing fees.
*Elementary, junior high, high school students or children of equivalent age are free.
