Yamanashi Gem Museum

Yamanashi is the number one prefecture of gem and precious metal industry in Japan. This is the only comprehensive gem museum which was established in Yamanashi. It was relocated from Kofu-city to Kawaguchiko area and redesigned in 2007. The building is European style, and 500 different types of 3,000 precious stones and gems collected from Japan and the world are displayed in the museum. The museum displays the gems from the raw stone to cut stone and jewelry alongside, and you can learn how to polish a raw stone to produce a magnificent jewel. At the special stage, you will be overwhelmed by the giant crystal group, one of which is the row stone of 1270 kg.
