The Southern Alps mountain range Mt. Kitadake is one of the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains, one of Yamanashi’s 100 famous mountains and is the 2nd highest in Japan after Mt. Fuji. It is the northernmost mountain of the Shiranesanzan mountains. The flower fields of are stunning and species native to Mt. Kitadake such as Kitadake-so bloom. Mt. Kitadake Buttress is the highest rocky stretch in Japan. The views are stunning and the Southern Alps have a dynamic panorama seen nowhere else. Contact: Minami Alps City Hall 055-282-6294
