Former Miyazaki second winery built in 1904 which is the oldest wooden winery in Japan and is designated as a tangible cultural asset of Yamanashi prefecture, is opened as the archives’ room of Chateau Mercian. It introduces the history of Chateau Mercian, and the birth and transitions of Japanese wine. It also exhibits the important equipments which had been used for brewing here before, and introduces the track and the achievements of predecessors who made the base of Chateau Merchian, and the grape-producing area.
