Join the forces of Takeda Shingen and be part of one of the most memorable battles of the Japanese History

From this year, the Reenactment of the Battles of Kawanakajima will take place in Autumn and the date for 2018 was disclosed!
On October 28th, 2018 (Sun) Fuefuki City in Yamanashi Prefecture will be the stage for this epic battle! About 1000 warriors will fight in Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin forces, reenacting one of the most important moments in Japanese military history.

Be a warrior!

Sign up to be one of the soldiers! Applications will be accepted until June 9th. Participation fee costs 5000 yen and includes the samurai armor rent, lunch and commemorative photo.

This is a popular event so if you want to be a samurai for one day, hurry up!

How to apply

*It is not necessary to speak Japanese to participate in the battle, but the website is in Japanese.
Anyone in good heath conditions can apply, regardless of gender, age or nationality.

How to get there

The reenactment takes place near Fuefuki River, about 20 min on foot from Isawa-Onsen Station.
Those taking part in the battle will be directed to places nearby the station for getting dressed and for rehearsal on the same day, during morning.

What time?

Event will start at 10:45 am and the battalions will start moving around 13:30, so arrive early to get a good spot!
