When you visit the park, don’t forget to watch the ninja show!

The performance showcases fights with stunts that use ninja weapons, including shuriken (ninja stars), ropes, and swords. Highly-trained actors give real demonstrations of the lethal power Samurai weapons have, and explain how they were used in combat. During our visit, an actor demonstrated for us how ninja stars were used by ninjas. Each ninja star weighs about as much as a smartphone, so I'm sure you can imagine just how difficult it actually is to throw multiple shuriken at the same time, as shown in media culture. Some explanations are also offered in English, so non-Japanese speakers can understand and enjoy the performance. Although the performance is mainly for entertainment, it is also very informative. Audiences can learn about the culture and history behind Japan’s beloved ninja culture.

To make sure the village is protected, there is a guard tower. At the top, there is a panel with examples of ninja combat techniques. Follow the instructions, and you will feel like a real ninja who was destined to guard the village.

There are various different activities in the village, all related to the skills developed by a ninja. The village is especially popular among foreign visitors, and we were actually able to meet a group of Chinese students enjoying themselves on a fieldtrip the same day we went.
