The 7th Station Hana-goya(Mountain lodge)

Main content starts here.

The mountain lodge, located at 2,700 meters above sea level, is at the first location of the 7th station of Mt.Fuji. Now, they are supposed to be the 7th generation since it started. It worships Fumyodo-o as a god. Not only you can stay at the lodge, but also you can have a rest here during the daytime. It costs 1,000yen per person per one hour. Light meals are available including Ramen noodles and Udon noodles. The branding for pilgrim’s staff is 200yen. These days, the stamps of Japanese version and English version are popular too. If you do not have a pilgrim's staff, the stamp can be your memorial souvenir. The stand sells water, juice, chocolate, black beans jam bread, work gloves, oxygen, hot coffee, hot lemon tea, green tea, cocoa, corn soup, and so on. From this point to the peak, it takes 5-6 hours.
You can observe the beautiful sunrise (Goraiko) from this place. If you do not like the crowded peak of Mt.Fuji or the jam-packed trail, you can enjoy the sunrise at Hana-goya. Reservation is made by phone call only. Weekends are crowded with group guests, so individual guests are welcome more during weekdays. Let’s start leisurely.
