Fujisan (Mt. Fuji) and Fujigoko (Fuji Five Lakes) Area

Kawaguchiko Country Club

This is an expansive, highly strategic 27-hole course located in a quiet forest at an elevation of 1,000 meters on the north foot of Mt. Fuji to the south of Lake Kawaguchiko. The course, which was designed by Robert von Hagge of the United States, has fairways and greens of ukishiba grass, and each of the holes has separations consisting of Japanese red pine and Japanese larch trees.

Key point

There are a total of 195 bunkers that are beautifully distributed on 27 holes, and it is said that this is the highest number of bunkers in Japan.

While this course does not have long distances, it requires high-precision iron shots and reading the undulations of greens.
