Fujisan (Mt. Fuji) and Fujigoko (Fuji Five Lakes) Area

Fuji Golf Course

This is a stylish course with over 80 years of history at the foot of majestic Mt. Fuji. The basic style of play is walking with a caddie. Golfers can enjoy relaxed games while taking in outstanding, seasonally changing views of Mt. Fuji. The course, which is flat overall with expansive fairways, has been designed so that it can be enjoyed by various golfers including women and seniors, so it is loved by a wide range of players.

Key point

Here, after a game of golf, it is possible to spend a luxurious time in one of the natural Onsen hot springs that the Mt. Fuji area is blessed with. This golf course is part of a hotel group so the cuisine prepared by its chef is outstanding.

Strategy

The high-speed greens here, which are with the grain from Mt. Fuji, are tournament level. Attempting these without the advice of an experienced caddy could be disastrous. The fairways are expansive, so it is possible to take big swings here, but golfers find that if their ball veers significantly, the red pines between the courses are tricky to deal with.
