Shoji Mount Hotel
This cozy hotel is near the shore of Lake Shojiko - one of the Fuji Five Lakes. The untamed wildness of Lake Shojiko and the Aokigahara-jukai Forest are right outside, with clear views of Mt. Fuji to the fore, and excellent access to Lake Kawaguchiko, the Asagiri highlands in Shizuoka prefecture, and routes towards Kofu. The approximately four-kilometer Lake Shojiko Tour Course is a recommended cycling route.
Bicycles can be brought into all 22 of the Japanese and western-style guest rooms. The wider western rooms are recommended for guests intending to put their bicycles in the room. Rooms on the lake side boast views of both Lake Shojiko and Mt. Fuji. Given its lakeside locale, great lake views can always be enjoyed from the Shoji Mount Hotel.
Bicycles can be stored and maintained in the second floor meeting room, which has plenty of space for routine maintenance. Cycle racks for two bicycles can be used during one's stay. Protective sheets are also available free of charge.
Two large baths are available - the "Ancient cypress bath" and the "Stone bath" - on the first floor. The public baths for men and women are separate and alternate each day, so please confirm the schedule with the hotel upon arrival.
"Lava plate grill" - which comprises of Yamanashi brand "Koshu beef" and vegetables grilled on a plate of lava hewn from Mt. Fuji - is popular for dinner. The dish is simple, but the delicious taste of the ingredients is enhanced. Collaborative dishes featuring delicacies from the seas and mountains can be enjoyed in the Lake Shojiko area.
Also featured are two high-end massage chairs - perfect to ease any post-cycling stiffness from your body and to relax.
Two coin-operated washing machines and dryers are available in the laundry room. (Washing machine: ¥300 per wash cycle, dryer: ¥100 per 30 minutes)
