Yamanakako Lake House
Yamanakako Lake House is located near the tail of the whale-shaped Lake Yamanakako, with easy access from Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Shizuoka prefectures. The hotel is a primarily white western-style building with an observatory terrace on the roof of the garage. The Lake Yamanakako Tour Course, Mikuni Pass Cycling Course, and the long course up to Lake Kawaguchiko can be enjoyed. This hotel is located in a prime position to cycle around near Mt. Fuji.
Bicycles can be maintained in a shuttered garage. Cycle racks are also available. There is a cleaning area beside the garage entrance, so there's no need to worry about the bicycles being too dirty when returning to the hotel.
Tools and pumps can be borrowed free of charge from the front desk, alleviating any maintenance concerns before or after your ride.
Mt. Fuji dominates the view from the window of a room large enough for up to seven guests. Rooms with lofts are also available. Relax in the company of like-minded friends.
The training machines in the rest room are freely available to guests. Leisure pastimes, such as cards and puzzles, are also available. Perfect for fun times in good company.
Recuperate from any post-cycling exhaustion in the bright and large bath. Bathe together with your friends in the massive bath. There are also many other hot spring spas nearby that make for a perfect day trip - so plan and enjoy your own excursion.
Both breakfast and dinner are available on request for a surcharge. The owner-chef used to work for a Japanese restaurant, and does all the cooking himself. The local specialty "Hoto" noodle soup is a popular dish. Light menus, such as sautéed chicken - perfectly suited to a cyclist's physique - can also be served on request.
